After office hours of the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS), representatives of Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek entered the building and demanded that security grant them access to KRS offices, the portal Niezalezna.pl has learned. Everything indicates that Tusk’s government has decided on a forceful takeover of this institution.
“It looks like an informal entry into the KRS. We are all returning to the site,” judge Piotr Schab told Niezalezna.pl.
Niezalezna.pl had already reported that a storming of the KRS was possible. And today, more disturbing information has emerged.
“I received information from security that two men demanded keys to KRS premises. One of these men is probably a director from the Ministry of Justice”
said the head of the KRS, judge Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woicka, live on TV Republika.
“There had been such announcements, but I am shocked that a director from the Ministry of Justice, a judge, is attempting to enter the premises of the National Council of the Judiciary in the absence of the Council’s staff and management, and not during normal office hours. For me, this is an unbelievable situation; I do not know whether this does not amount to an act prohibited by a judge.”
