Today the auction of the First Lady’s Christmas ornament will be broadcast by PR1. Agata Kornhauser–Duda supports the charity campaign “Choinki Jedynki” (English: ‘Christmas trees of Polish Radio Program I’) for Anna Dymna’s ‘Against the Odds’ Foundation.
On Sunday, world-renowned guests from the sections of culture, science, music and sport came to the seat of the Polish Radio in Warsaw to paint pictures under the slogan “Secrets of Christmas” as part of the 21st Charity Action ‘Christmas trees of Polish Radio Program I’. As every year, the proceeds from the auction of works will be donated to charity.
This year, First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda joined the initiative for the eighth time and prepared Christmas ornaments. She also took honorary patronage over the entire action.
For this year’s auction, the First Lady prepared two decoupage works – a heart and an ornament presenting Myra, the maritime city in Asia Minor.
Anna Dymna’s ‘Against the Odds’ Foundation has been raising a fund to create a support center for people with disabilities and their families, but this year part of the proceeds of the auction will also be used to support sick and disabled refugees from Ukraine who are under the care of the foundation.
Today, the auction of the decorations made by First Lady will be broadcast by PR1 between 09:00 a.m. and 12 p.m.
