“Here’s a little document from the control services for the association from Warta, which, despite a negative expert opinion, received over 500,000 PLN for a bus transporting children with disabilities to a special needs school – ‘NO IRREGULARITIES FOUND’ – announced former Minister of Education Przemysław Czarnek on platform X.
In 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) organized a competition titled “Development of the infrastructural potential of entities supporting the education and upbringing system.” Non-governmental organizations, including scouting organizations as well as entities carrying out statutory activities in the field of education and upbringing, were eligible to apply for funding. Grants were awarded for the purchase of real estate, construction or adaptation of buildings, and the purchase of equipment. The total value of the awarded grants amounted to 40 million PLN.
The then-opposition and media sympathetic to them attacked Przemysław Czarnek’s program, calling it the “villa plus”program. Meanwhile, as the former Minister of Education reported on platform X, an audit was carried out regarding the grant for a bus transporting children with disabilities to school. The Director of the Tax Administration Chamber in Łódź stated in a document published by Czarnek on platform X that no irregularities had been found.
On this occasion, the politician also pointed to the still-unresolved scandal surrounding the awarding of funds under the National Recovery Plan (KPO).
“From KPO – money for sex clubs, tanning salons and yachts, while from the ridiculed so-called ‘Villa plus,’ meaning 40 million PLN for investments in education, here’s a little document from the control services for the association from Warta, which, despite a negative expert opinion, received over 500,000 PLN for a bus transporting children with disabilities to a special needs school – ‘NO IRREGULARITIES FOUND… THE AUDIT BODY REFRAINS FROM ISSUING RECOMMENDATIONS’… So, smiling haters? Will you apologize to the parents and children from the special needs school?… You don’t have to apologize to us” – wrote Przemysław Czarnek.
