Bąkiewicz Faces Another Trial: “God, Honor, Fatherland Mean Something”

Robert Bąkiewicz, head of the Border Defense Movement (ROG), announced on the platform X that another hearing lies ahead of him. This time, he is being accused by a left-wing activist known for attacking churches in 2020. In his post, he explained that the woman portrays herself as a “victim of violence,” while he is allegedly guilty for standing up for faith and decency. He also made an appeal.

Bąkiewicz is being accused by Andżelika Domańska, who five years ago attacked churches, disrupted Holy Masses, and mocked people praying on the steps of the Holy Cross Church.

“Today this woman – a symbol of those profanations – portrays herself as a ‘victim of violence’. The system assists her in this grotesque role because it needs its own martyrs, even if they were the aggressors,” wrote the head of ROG.

He further explained that he is deemed guilty simply because he stood up for faith, order, and decency.

“I defended what is sacred when they sought to destroy it,” added Bąkiewicz.

Later in the post, he wrote that, in his view, this is “a trial about Poland, about our values, about the right to say that God, Honor, and Fatherland mean something.

Robert Bąkiewicz concluded by saying that times may be difficult, but he will not retreat even a single step because “the truth will prevail,” and he asked for public presence at the court hearing (Thursday, October 9, 1:30 p.m., District Court for Warsaw-Śródmieście, 82 Marszałkowska Street, room 475).
