Bechtel names Leszek Holda new Country Manager for Poland
[RESTON, VA], [October 30, 2023] – Bechtel, a leading engineering, procurement, construction, and project management company, announced today the appointment of Leszek Holda as Bechtel’s Country Manager for Poland where he will lead the new Bechtel office in Warsaw.
Hołda, a lifelong resident of Poland, brings to Bechtel over 20 years of broad management experience leading complex, international organizations. His expertise spans telecommunications, information technology, and energy industries.
“We are thrilled to have Leszek join the Bechtel team, and bring his expertise to our Warsaw office,” said Ahmet Tokpinar, general manager of Bechtel’s nuclear power business line. “His industry knowledge coupled with his trusted leadership experience is key as we move forward with delivering Poland’s first nuclear power plant and pursue other nuclear work in the region.”
Most recently, Holda was a board member of the Polish company PKP Energetyka S.A., an energy distribution system operator in the railway industry. Among other things, he was responsible for the launching of the first of its kind Green Rail Program, aimed at switching traditional energy for railways to renewable sources on the way to the implementation of railway net zero transport in Poland.
