“The current authorities are repressing all those who fight for the truth and refused to accept that the true intentions of Tusk’s government should remain concealed. Their campaign is failing, so the December 13 coalition is launching yet another episode of political spectacle,” wrote Mariusz Błaszczak, former Minister of National Defence, on social media. Two of his close associates are expected to face charges in connection with the so-called “Vistula Line” case.
The Military Affairs Division of the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation concerning the disclosure of excerpts from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland Employment Plan WARTA-00101 (a document from 2011), initiated based on a report submitted by Jarosław Stróżyk—the current head of the Military Counterintelligence Service and chair of the governmental commission investigating Russian influence.
The declassified excerpts were presented publicly by the former Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak, including through social media platforms. They were also featured in an episode of the documentary series “Reset” by Sławomir Cenckiewicz and Michał Rachoń. As a result, nearly half of Polish citizens were able to learn how the then-government intended to defend the country in the event of a Russian invasion.
In March of this year, Mariusz Błaszczak was formally charged concerning this matter.
A few days ago, during an appearance on the TV Republika network, Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz stated: “In a few days, Ms. [Agnieszka] Glapiak, the Deputy Chair of the National Broadcasting Council, will likely hear charges from Mr. Maksjan regarding the Vistula Line, and it’s possible that I, too, will face charges in this case.”
Further Charges Forthcoming
Yesterday, the former Minister of National Defence announced via social media that two of his close associates—including Agnieszka Glapiak, Deputy Chair of the National Broadcasting Council—are expected to be charged this week.
“The current authorities are repressing all those who fight for the truth and refused to accept that the true intentions of Tusk’s government should remain concealed. Their campaign is failing, so the December 13 coalition is launching yet another episode of political spectacle,” wrote the politician, adding: “I stand firmly behind my collaborators.”
