“Brussels’ Attempt to Seize Control of Polish Forests Fails – MEP Piotr Muller Declares Victory!”

“Today in the European Parliament, we rejected the European Commission’s proposal to force member states to provide vast amounts of data on forests. It sounded like organizing information, but in reality, it was the first step towards Brussels taking control over forests,” said Piotr Muller, a PiS MEP, on the X platform.

In a video attached to the post, it was emphasized that today’s vote in the European Parliament was of great importance.

“Today, we won an important vote on forests. The European Commission wanted member states to report a huge amount of data about forests to Brussels. From the area to the species of trees,” the narrator pointed out.

He added, “It sounded harmless, but it was the first step towards the EU taking over forest policy.”

A policy that, according to treaties, belongs to national states, not to the Commission. We managed to stop it. We defeated the European left, which wanted to manage our forests from Brussels. Polish forests stay in Polish hands,” he emphasized.

Muller also pointed out in his post that the winning vote “is a victory of common sense over bureaucracy and another defense of Polish sovereignty.”
