Cenckiewicz on Allegations: “Revenge by Those Who Fostered Ties with Russia”

Yesterday, the prosecutor’s office filed an indictment with the court against former Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, the head of the National Security Bureau, Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, and others in connection with the disclosure of fragments of Poland’s defense plan. The matter concerns the so-called “Vistula Line.” One of the accused has commented on the case.

“I am very glad that the case has gone to court!” he wrote on his profile on the platform X.

The professor added that thanks to this, he would be able to defend himself “under the conditions set by law.”

In his post, he also referred to the actions of prosecutor Marcin Maksjan. According to the head of the BBN (National Security Bureau), the investigation conducted by him was marked by numerous irregularities, which resulted in two notifications being filed regarding the possible commission of a crime.

The professor further stressed that he is the “great absentee” of the investigation, which convinces him that the case has a political dimension and was initiated out of revenge.

“The charges are false and completely without substantive justification. The prosecutor cannot substantiate them,” wrote the head of the BBN.

Cenckiewicz stated unequivocally that the allegations are an act of revenge by people “who for years built a friendship with Russia, entangling state institutions in relations with Russia!” He added that this also applied to ties with the FSB.

“I was and am innocent! I have never broken the law! Poland will defeat Russia’s supporters, lawbreakers, and liars!” concluded the presidential minister.
