Christmas Carol Concert by TV Republika “Carols of Hope”

During Christmas, our thoughts and prayers were also directed towards our struggling Ukrainian brothers and sisters, which is why we called the annual carol concert on TV Republika “Kolędy Nadziei” (English: Carols of Hope).

This time, alongside Polish pastorals, we heard Ukrainian ones. In one of the oldest churches in Lviv, the Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Polish St John Paul II Choir conducted by Bronisław Pacan sang especially for the viewers of TV Republika. In Warsaw, on the other hand, in the Church of St Augustine, Ukrainian Christmas songs were performed by an artist from Kyiv, Vlada Muravets, and her son Iaroslav.

Thank you for singing Christmas carols together. Thank you to all who supported the realisation of “Carols of Hope.” May hope triumph over fear and death.

Bóg się rodzi, moc truchleje! (English: God is Born, all might is shaken)

There are also some photos of the Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lviv. Safety measures are used to protect the Basilica due to shelling.
