The prelude to another wave of attacks on Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz began already on Sunday, on TVN24. Referring to the statement of the head of the Chancellery of the President, Zbigniew Bogucki, Civic Coalition MP, Marek Sowa, is demanding action from the prosecutor’s office.
Krzysztof Brejza, a Member of the European Parliament from Civic Coalition, issued today, in Super Express, an ultimatum to President Karol Nawrocki. He stated that if the president allows Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, head of the National Security Bureau (BBN), to participate in the Council of Ministers, then neither the Prime Minister nor the government should take part in it. In the background are insinuations about Prof. Cenckiewicz allegedly lacking access to classified documents – which has found no confirmation in any court decision.
Already on Sunday, on TVN24, there was a prelude to another wave of attacks. The morning show host, Konrad Piasecki, pressed the head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Zbigniew Bogucki, about the head of the BBN, Sławomir Cenckiewicz.
He asked his guest, among other things, whether Prof. Cenckiewicz “reads classified materials”, and claimed that “since the heads of the services do not pass those materials to Cenckiewicz, he in fact does not have access to them”. – Prof. Cenckiewicz has full access, because a clear provision of the law states that a decision which was annulled by an impartial and independent court, and which has been appealed, remains in legal circulation but produces no legal effect – Bogucki replied, pointing to a court ruling from June 2025.
Today, Civic Coalition MP Marek Sowa joined the next phase of the attack.
In light of Bogucki’s statement from the Chancellery of the President regarding Cenckiewicz’s access to classified materials, the matter should be immediately taken up by the National Prosecutor’s Office (PK) – he wrote on social media. Brejza’s post was later shared by, among others, the official Civic Coalition account.
It is worth recalling that in 2012, as Marshal of Małopolska, Marek Sowa was one of the hosts of the 4th Poland-Russia Regions Forum. – Local governments are closer to the people, and therefore closer to their affairs. At this level, it is easier to build mutual relations and trust – Sowa said at the time.
