The motion for Adam Glapiński’s State Tribunal is finalized and set for submission in the imminent days, announced Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press briefing. Glapiński has held the position of the National Bank of Poland’s chief since 2016, with his current term extending until 2028.
Tusk’s declaration came towards the conclusion of his today’s press conference. A journalist inquired about Adam Glapiński’s prospects amidst circulating reports of his impending State Tribunal trial.
“The motion is prepared and ready. It will be submitted in the coming days,” responded Tusk, refraining from specifying exact timelines.
This development marks another chapter in the ongoing struggle over the fate of the NBP. As per legal protocols, the decision to subject the NBP chief to the State Tribunal rests with the Sejm, necessitating an absolute majority vote.
