The Court of Appeals has upheld the ban on the assembly permit for the Warsaw Uprising March, journalist Tomasz Kalinowski from TV Republika reported on social media.
A few days ago, Robert Bąkiewicz, president of the Niepodległość (Independence) party, announced on social media that the Masovian Voivode had denied permission for the Warsaw Uprising March to be recognized as a recurring assembly on August 1st.
“The decision came at the very last possible moment, even though we submitted the application back in October 2024! This is what the ‘rule of law’ looks like under Tusk – delay, obstruction, and the destruction of patriotic initiatives,” Bąkiewicz wrote.
He also called on people to gather on August 1st at 5:00 PM at Rondo Dmowskiego. “We have a permit filed under a different legal procedure – the march will take place,” he announced. On July 26, 2025, Bąkiewicz stated that the march organizers had won their case against the Masovian Voivode in the District Court in Warsaw regarding the recognition of the march as a recurring assembly.
The court overturned the voivode’s decision.
