A recent internet sensation in Zakopane has resulted in a fine, according to “Tygodnik Podhalański”. The focal point is a man dressed as a white bear who demanded payment from actress Hanna Turnau, who was shooting a video on Krupówki Street. The municipal police issued a fine yesterday to the man for his unauthorized collection of fees for taking photos on Krupówki.
Hanna Turnau shared a video from Krupówki on her Instagram account, which rapidly gained attention. In the footage, as the actress begins her introduction, she is abruptly interrupted by a man dressed as a white bear standing behind her. The exchange unfolded as follows:
“Hey, it doesn’t work like that. If you want, you can pay PLN 20 and that’s it,” remarked the bear.
“But we are filming here…” protested the actress.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re filming or doing anything else. We’re here, and if you want to join us, then please, pay up!” declared the man.
Turnau summed up the incident by praising Zakopane as “a very pleasant city”.
Yesterday, the municipal police imposed a fine on the bear from Krupówki for unlawfully charging tourists for photographs. To operate his business legally, the man must submit the necessary application to the mayor.
According to “Tygodnik Podhalański”, currently only two individuals hold permits to charge fees for photos. This includes a local dressed as a bear who poses by the Oczko Wodne fountain.
