    Crowds at marches of thanksgiving for the pontificate of John Paul II all over the country

    On the 18th anniversary of the death of John Paul II, marches of thanksgiving for the pontificate of the Polish Pope passed through many Polish cities today. Prayer vigils, debates, concerts, and artistic performances recalling the Pope’s teachings are also planned.

    Through the streets of many Polish cities passed the Marches of Gratitude for Pope John Paul II, in which several thousand people took part. 

    On the 18th anniversary of the death of John Paul II, marches of thanksgiving for the pontificate of the Polish Pope are organised in many Polish cities. John Paul II died 18 years ago in the Vatican, on 2 April 2005 at 9.37 p.m. He was 84 years old.
