Czarnek on the European Parliament Resolution: A Step Toward Building a European State Under German Control

On Wednesday, the European Parliament passed a resolution aimed at strengthening the EU’s defence capabilities. As part of this resolution, an amendment proposed by the PO-PSL delegation within the European People’s Party (EPP) was also adopted, recognizing the “Eastern Shield” as a flagship project for the EU’s collective security. The document was approved by a decisive majority in the European Parliament (419 votes to 204). The resolution was not supported by MEPs from PiS (Law and Justice) and Confederation, which drew criticism from representatives of the current Polish government. Politicians from these parties argue that the central focus of the resolution is entirely different from the Eastern Shield.

A Great Deception

Przemysław Czarnek addressed this vote during a press briefing in Kraków on Friday.

“The resolution that you have passed in the European Parliament is a great disgrace and an embarrassment for Europe. It is a grand deception, a step toward building a unified European state under German control. This can never be accepted,”

 stated the PiS MP.

According to him, Europe seeks to establish a common army that “has nothing to do with an effective military force.” He further argued that “Europe—meaning Germany, France, and Tusk at their service—wants to expel the Americans from Europe, to push NATO out of Europe so that they can do whatever they please in cooperation and business dealings with the Russians.”

“The only guarantee of maintaining Poland’s alliance with the United States,” Czarnek asserted, “is electing a civic candidate supported by PiS, Karol Nawrocki, as president.”

All in Germany’s Interest

During the conference, former Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek was joined by PiS MEP Arkadiusz Mularczyk, who argued that the European Parliament’s resolution on security is extremely dangerous for Poland’s security. “What the European and Brussels elites are implementing today at Germany’s suggestion is the weakening of NATO and the expulsion of America from Europe,” he contended.

According to Mularczyk, shifting security policy from NATO toward the European Union ultimately serves to strengthen Germany’s political, economic, and financial position. “This is a massive financial pie that Germany wants to take for itself,” added the MEP.
