There was a serious clash today in the studio of TVP Info in liquidation. The program’s host – Kamila Biedrzycka – addressed an impolite question to Błażej Poboży, an adviser to President Karol Nawrocki: “Should I ask you to leave the studio?” She was met, however, with a strong rebuttal from the politician.
A PLN 90 billion loan for Ukraine was discussed today on the air of TVP Info in liquidation. The program’s host, Kamila Biedrzycka, known for her sympathy toward the December 13 Coalition, decided to explain to the politicians in the studio as well as to viewers what this undertaking was supposed to be about…
She said the following: “This is what is called headroom. That is, it is a matter of what has been termed a flexible reserve of the EU budget. According to the declaration of the prime minister, who does not belong to any portfolio – neither German, nor French, nor Polish – it was to be used in a special situation, and now we have such a special situation.”
At this point, the adviser to the President of the Republic of Poland, Błażej Poboży, intervened attentively, addressing the host: “There will probably be a quarterly bonus, editor…”
These words clearly provoked the employee of the perpetually liquidated station, who after a brief exchange blurted out: “Should I ask you to leave the studio?” The presidential adviser responded, a matter he later referred to on social media:
“So it is not a scandal that the host is biased, that viewers are being lied to, and that a guest is being threatened with expulsion from PUBLIC television, but my firm stance against this lawlessness is supposed to be the scandal? Don’t count on it. These are public media, and the voice of President Nawrocki has the right to be heard here!” he wrote, attaching a clip.
Is she allowed to do that…?
The host’s reaction was at least “strange,” given that she herself allowed an inelegant remark toward her political guest. At one point, addressing Poboży, she said with a smile on her face: “Your verbal language is incompatible with your non-verbal language!”
