Did Tusk Disregard the National Security Council? “Tusk Has No Idea What We Debated”

The aftermath of today’s National Security Council (RBN) meeting continues to stir controversy. The focal point is Donald Tusk’s behavior, which came to light through participants of the event. While Tusk criticized Mariusz Błaszczak online, it turns out that he himself… left the meeting before it ended.

President Andrzej Duda convened the RBN session on Monday to share insights from his recent meetings with U.S. administration officials, including President Donald Trump, and to discuss support for Ukraine.

Following the meeting, Donald Tusk took to X to comment.

“The need for political unity among Poles in the face of the threat from the East was understood by everyone. The President, the Speakers, and parliamentary club leaders. Only Mariusz Błaszczak did not understand,” Tusk wrote.

However, doubts soon arose regarding Tusk’s own conduct during the session.

“We didn’t have the opportunity for a private conversation today. The Prime Minister left shortly before the RBN ended. He spoke with me very briefly because he had other important matters to attend to,” President Andrzej Duda told Polsat News.

MP Grzegorz Płaczek (Confederation), who also attended the meeting, stated that Błaszczak’s remarks were similar to those of any other invited participant.

“The Prime Minister was present for about one-third of the meeting, so he has no idea what we actually debated,” the Confederation MP remarked.
