Szymon Hołownia received a very clear proposal from Donald Tusk to interrupt the National Assembly and prevent the swearing-in of Karol Nawrocki as president, according to unofficial information. Politicians remind that inciting a coup d’état is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Marcin Fijołek of Polsat News revealed on his podcast that he had obtained information about a proposal made by Donald Tusk to Szymon Hołownia. It allegedly involved preventing the inauguration of Karol Nawrocki, who had been elected president. The Speaker of the Sejm is said to have refused to take part in the plan.
Katarzyna Gójska, speaking on the program “Rewolwer” on TV Republika, recalled that journalists at the station had been warning about such a scenario for months. “It’s been visible for several months how successive steps were being prepared,” she emphasized. She explained that it was a thoroughly and meticulously planned process.
Up to 20 Years in Prison
The matter has sparked intense commentary online. Paweł Jabłoński pointed out that inciting a crime carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison. “Szymon Hołownia has just gained a rather strong card against Tusk; if he provides credible testimony in this case, Donald Tusk could face trouble he did not anticipate,” wrote the PiS MP.
In a similar tone, Paweł Szrot commented on the reports, stating that the matter should be investigated by a parliamentary inquiry commission. He referred to the entire situation as a “Giertychiada” and explained that it concerns an attempted or planned attack on a constitutional body of the Republic of Poland.
Judge Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woicka, Chair of the National Council of the Judiciary, admitted that this is a very serious matter that “must be thoroughly investigated.”
