“This loan mechanism, like on a chain, will hold the states that dare to pursue an independent foreign policy, that dare to reject the ideologies prevailing in the European Union,” said former head of the Ministry of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak, referring to the EU SAFE loan instrument. At the convention of Law and Justice (PiS) in Stalowa Wola, he spoke about three reasons that are putting Poland’s security to the test.
On Saturday in Stalowa Wola, Law and Justice (PiS) organized a convention under the slogan “Time for a Secure Poland.” It was another event in a series through which the party is preparing its program for the parliamentary elections. Saturday’s meeting focused on defence and was opened by former Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak.
The PiS vice-president stated that during the previous government there was no shortage of funds for the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces. – “There was money to create new garrisons, rebuilt in place of those that were liquidated by the first government of Donald Tusk. There was money to rearm the Polish Armed Forces, which we successfully accomplished when Law and Justice was in power. And now it turns out that the state budget deficit is the highest in history. It turns out that high prices prevail in our homes – we see it when paying our energy bills, because the government of the 13 December coalition has neither competence nor a program,” he said.
According to Błaszczak, Poland’s security is being tested for three reasons. One of them – as he stated – is that “we are governed by a disastrous government that hands over its competences to our partners west of the Oder.” Another reason is the ideologies prevailing in the European Union: those undermining the moral order, the “climate religion,” and the approach to migrants – in the context of the latter, he recalled proposals to recruit foreigners into the armed forces of member states in exchange for citizenship. He also spoke about Germany’s plans to assume leadership in the EU by creating a concept that would bypass the participation of the United States.
“One of the elements of creating, or implementing, this concept is the SAFE loan mechanism. That is what it serves. This loan mechanism, like on a chain, will hold the states that dare to pursue an independent foreign policy, that dare to reject the ideologies I mentioned at the outset. We must not allow Poland to enter this mechanism. […] We can easily imagine the following reaction from Brussels, Berlin […] ‘You do not want the migration pact, meaning you do not want to accept migrants – there is no money. You do not want to reject the climate religion, meaning to bring energy prices down – there is no money. You do not want to yield to these insanities connected with 240 genders […] – there is no money.’ This is blackmail that we must not agree to,” he said.
