Disputes Within Law and Justice? Obajtek: “We Won’t Be Broken, No One Will Break PiS”

“We went through the pandemic, we went through the war just beyond our borders and we will get through this. They won’t break us, no one will break PiS,” said in Brzozów (Podkarpackie Province) Law and Justice (PiS) MEP Daniel Obajtek.

On Friday, at the headquarters of Law and Justice (PiS) on Nowogrodzka Street in Warsaw, the Presidium of the party’s Political Committee held a meeting. Some media outlets argued that the party leadership intended to discipline politicians who in recent weeks had publicly engaged in internal disputes.

Vice-president of the party, former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, was absent from the meeting

At the time, the politician was attending a meeting with voters in Podkarpacie. He participated in a discussion together with PiS MEPs, former Prime Minister Beata Szydło and Daniel Obajtek. During the meeting, the former head of Orlen commented on reports about disputes within PiS.

“For the past few weeks I have been noticing one thing. I am very grateful that the media are here as well. I have been noticing one thing: today the media do not look at the government, at what it is failing to do, because it practically does nothing” – Obajtek said during the meeting with voters in Brzozów. As he added, “today the media are trying to create any difference of opinion within PiS, and we are certainly a democratic party”.

“So it is normal that differences of opinion exist, and today the issue is not who in PiS talks to whom or who is not talking to whom at the moment, because we are united and we will remain united. They won’t break us” – the politician declared.

He reminded that the party had gone through various threats.

“We went through the pandemic, we went through the war just beyond our borders and we will get through this, they won’t break us, no one will break PiS” – he stressed.
