Two days after approximately 60 objects sent from Belarus breached Polish airspace, the police and the Border Guard have recovered several dozen. They were located in two voivodeships – Podlaskie and Lublin. What about the rest?
“The mass nature of the violation of Polish airspace, its occurrence during a special holiday period, the assessment of the activity of a Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea, as well as the fact that similar incidents have recently occurred in Lithuania, may indicate that this was a provocation carried out under the cover of smuggling activity,” assessed the National Security Bureau (BBN) with regard to the events that took place on the night of 24-25 December.
The case concerns dozens of balloons sent from the territory of Belarus that entered Poland. According to findings by TV Republika, there were around 60 such objects.
Two days have passed since the search for the objects began. As determined today by the Niezalezna.pl portal, 17 balloons have so far been secured.

“In 10 cases, activities are being carried out by the Police. In 7 cases – by the Border Guard,” said Commissioner Wioletta Szubska from the National Police Headquarters (KGP). We asked the Provincial Police Headquarters (KWP) in Białystok about the locations where the objects were found in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
