MP Dariusz Matecki (Law and Justice – PiS) has been transferred to a hospital under the escort of law enforcement officers, according to TV Republika. The politician is currently under temporary detention.
Matecki was apprehended by officers of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) on the orders of the prosecutor’s office. He has been charged with six counts, to which he has pleaded not guilty, providing extensive explanations.
The District Court of Warsaw-Mokotów (Judge Joanna Włoch presiding) ordered Matecki’s detention for a period of two months. Following the court’s decision, the PiS lawmaker was initially taken to a detention facility in Warsaw’s Służewiec district, before being moved to the Investigative Detention Center in Radom, which includes a hospital ward.
Today, the politician was transferred from the detention center to a hospital, possibly indicating a deterioration in his health condition. A photo shared by TV Republika shows the MP being transported in a wheelchair.
“Just moments ago, we received information that MP Matecki has been moved from the detention center’s hospital ward to an oncology hospital in Radom,” said Danuta Holecka on air.
