Drone Crashes in Lublin Region, Defence Ministry Confirms Details

A drone “bearing no military markings” crashed near Zamość, in the Lublin Voivodeship, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, Janusz Sejmej, reported. He emphasised that it was most likely a smuggling drone.

Fragments of the unidentified object fell today in the village of Majdan-Sielec, in the Tomaszów County, Lublin region. The news was first reported by RMF FM.

The press officer of the Lublin police, Deputy Inspector Andrzej Fijołek, told the Polish Press Agency that on Saturday at around 5:40 p.m., Tomaszów police received a call via the Emergency Notification Centre about the discovery of debris from an unidentified object in the village of Majdan-Sielec, located in Krynice commune.

No one was injured. The police secured the area. All relevant services, including the military, were notified, he added.

According to unofficial findings, the object fell in a field about 500 meters from residential buildings.

The village is located about 50 km from the border with Ukraine.
