Discover eight centuries of culinary history at the Museum of Warsaw’s exhibition on the city’s diverse food culture.
Exploring Culinary Evolution
Curator Zuzanna Różańska-Tuta emphasizes the exhibition’s focus on both ancient and modern culinary practices. French influences from the 17th century, for example, revolutionized the medieval European trend of bold, exotic flavors, leading to the familiar tastes of today.
Thematic Divisions: From Home to Street Food
The exhibition is divided into two parts: “At Home” and “To-Go.” Visitors will learn about historic kitchen tools, Warsaw’s street food traditions, and post-war influences, culminating in a showcase of contemporary food culture along the Vistula River.
The exhibition will be open until April 17, 2025, inviting visitors to reflect on Warsaw’s rich culinary legacy.
