    Eufonie Festival Celebrates Central-Eastern European Music in Warsaw

    The 5th edition of the International Festival of Central-Eastern European Music, Eufonie, is set to unfold in Warsaw from November 17 to 25. Rooted in folk traditions reflecting national identity, the festival kicks off with a concert featuring renowned violinist Vadim Gluzman and the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Olari Elts. The grand finale will be Krzysztof Penderecki’s “Matins,” with both parts performed together for the first time in Warsaw since 1971.

    Diverse Musical Offerings

    Eufonie 2023 promises music enthusiasts a rich lineup, showcasing performances by outstanding orchestras, choirs, ensembles, conductors, and soloists. Participating ensembles include the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian RTV Symphony Orchestra, NUSO Kharkiv Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, and Sinfonietta Žilina.

    Stellar Artists and Premieres

    Accompanying these orchestras are exceptional soloists, including Vadim Gluzman (violin), Leonora Armellini (piano), and a lineup of renowned vocalists and instrumentalists. The festival will feature world-class conductors, including Olari Elts, Thomas Sanderling, Tomas Netopil, Zsolt Nagy, Vladimir Martinka, and Polish representatives Marek Moś, Jurek Dybał, and Anna Sułkowska-Migoń.
