The Polish national speedway team has emerged victorious in the European Team Championships, triumphing over their competitors in the final held in Stralsund, Germany.
Poland’s team has defended their track racing title from last year, triumphing in the competition in Poznan and Stralsund under the guidance of coach Rafał Dobrucki. Led by Zmarzlik’s victory in the first race, the white and red team maintained their place at the top of the leaderboard throughout the competition.
The Polish speedway team dominated the tournament from the start, winning most of the races and never finishing worse than second place.
Nicki Pedersen led the riders to a strong showing throughout the competition, securing a silver medal for Denmark. Britain took home the bronze. Hosts, so Germany, finished in last place.
The team, comprised of Bartosz Zmarzlik, Jarosław Hampel, Szymon Woźniak, Dominik Kubera and Bartłomiej Kowalski, has affirmed its status as the dominant force in speedway racing on the Old Continent.
