Exciting News: 2nd National Beach Minivolleyball Championship

The 2nd Great Final of the National Beach Minivolleyball Championships for the KINDER Joy of moving Trophy is set to take place from July 4th to 7th, 2024, in Kołobrzeg. Under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Polish Olympic Committee, this event promises to be a thrilling showcase of young talent.

Since its inception, the interest in volleyball among children and youth, particularly beach volleyball, has been on the rise. Initiatives like the KINDER Joy of moving tournaments aim to nurture this interest. The inaugural edition in June 2023 witnessed enthusiastic participation and exemplary sportsmanship among budding players.

Building on last year’s success, the Polish Volleyball Association, in collaboration with longstanding partner Ferrero Poland Group, is expanding its efforts to promote minivolleyball. The transition from indoor to beach tournaments reflects their commitment to diversify and enrich the sporting experience for young athletes.

The upcoming final will host teams from 16 provinces across three age categories for both girls and boys. Marek Mierzwiński, the tournament director, expressed his delight at the event’s return to Kołobrzeg, anticipating even greater participation this year.

The KINDER Joy of moving initiative, supported by Ferrero Poland Group, aligns with the government’s agenda of fostering healthy habits among youth. It aims to democratize access to sports, irrespective of socio-economic backgrounds, while also promoting Olympic values and principles.
