Law and Justice (PiS) is set to lose politicians associated with Mateusz Morawiecki’s faction who refused to leave the Rozwój Plus association. According to an unofficial list, the group includes 37 MPs.
On Friday, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński announced that “more than thirty” MPs would be leaving the party. The move follows an internal dispute within PiS over the association founded by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
“The issue is connected, on the one hand, with the association, but above all with a proposal made many weeks ago to divide our party. In that situation, we could not view the association as anything other than an element of that plan—a plan to split the party,” Kaczyński said.

The politicians leaving PiS are those who did not sign declarations confirming that they do not participate in organisations engaged in political activity. The news outlet Interia published an unofficial list of MPs who reportedly made that decision. In addition to the head of the Rozwój Plus association, the list includes:

Morawiecki’s association also includes Members of the European Parliament Waldemar Buda, Michał Dworczyk, and Piotr Müller, as well as Krzysztof Szczucki, who is currently suspended from PiS.
