Expert Opinion on the Death of Barbara Skrzypek Deemed Insufficient. Complaint Filed

The legal representative of Barbara Skrzypek’s family has filed a complaint regarding the expert opinion issued in the investigation into the circumstances of her death, Niezależna.pl has learned. The prosecution is withholding details of the expert report, refusing to make it public and declining to answer questions about a possible link between Skrzypek’s death and an interrogation conducted by prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek.

A blood clot in the lumen of the left coronary artery most likely caused critical ischemia of the heart muscle and led to Barbara Skrzypek’s cardiac arrest. It was identified as a fresh lesion – this is the conclusion of the experts. They also admitted that “stress factors” could have impacted the cardiovascular system. We are citing only the conclusion, as the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor’s Office has released merely a brief summary of the expert report.

Information Blockade and Legal Complaint

When asked to release the full report or respond to detailed and publicly important questions regarding its findings, the prosecution refused. “At this stage, we are not providing further information regarding this investigation,” the investigators routinely replied in response to questions from Niezależna.pl.

The outlet sought answers to questions such as whether more extensive tests indicate any connection with the interrogation carried out by prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek on March 12, and whether investigators were able to determine precisely when the severe pre-infarction condition began – the condition that led to Skrzypek’s death on March 15.

*Niezależna.pl* has learned that the expert opinion is not satisfactory to Barbara Skrzypek’s family. Their attorney has submitted objections to the report.

When asked what those objections pertained to and how the prosecution responded, the answer was predictable. “At this stage of the proceedings, we are not disclosing information about the positions of the parties or any evidentiary motions,” replied the spokesperson for the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor’s Office.
