A tragic incident unfolded in Wohlen, Switzerland, on Sunday morning when a 39-year-old Polish man was shot and killed by his 40-year-old Swiss neighbour. The confrontation, which began over a dispute, quickly escalated into a violent encounter, according to reports from Swiss news outlet Blick.
The deceased, who was employed as a building caretaker, resided in Switzerland with his wife and two children. The altercation reportedly started when the Polish man approached his neighbour’s apartment to address complaints about excessive noise.
The situation intensified when the Swiss neighbour, armed with a pistol, fired several shots, fatally wounding the Polish man. Additionally, during the incident, the Polish man’s 7-year-old daughter was injured when the attacker struck her. Fortunately, medical evaluations confirm that her injuries are not life-threatening.
Swiss authorities have launched an investigation into the shooting, and the 40-year-old suspect is currently held at a psychiatric facility in Koenigsfelden, facing charges of intentional homicide.
