First no reaction, now posts and videos. Rachoń on Tusk government’s inaction: “This is grounds for resignation!”

Donald Tusk, on the occasion of another act of sabotage on the Polish railway, published a short video on social media. However, the information provided in it… contributes absolutely nothing. “Such inaction is a reason for the government’s resignation, not an excuse to record yet another video,” counters Michał Rachoń, program director of TV Republika.

Yesterday morning, on the Warsaw-Dęblin railway line, a dangerous incident occurred. The train driver managed to stop the train just before a large gap in the tracks. The day before yesterday, around 9:00 p.m., the police received information about an explosion in that area, and on the tracks, according to the station, there was a long electric cable leading to a nearby parking lot.

This morning, after a second similar incident on the tracks – this time closer to Puławy (Lublin Voivodeship) – Donald Tusk published a post on the X platform. The statement from the head of the December 13 coalition only confirms the communication chaos within the ruling camp, as evidenced by yesterday’s constantly changing versions of events.

“Unfortunately, the worst fears have been confirmed. On the Warsaw-Lublin line (village of Mika), an act of sabotage occurred. The explosion of an explosive device destroyed the railway track. Services and the prosecutor’s office are working on site. On the same route, closer to Lublin, damage was also reported,” Tusk wrote.

In addition to this post, a video also appeared on Tusk’s profile, in which the head of the December 13 coalition essentially says the same thing he wrote.

“We are at the site of the explosion near Garwolin, close to Mika station. The explosion, which most likely aimed to derail a train on the Warsaw-Dęblin route, leaves no doubt that this is an act of sabotage. Fortunately, there was no tragedy, but the matter is very serious. Police, CBŚ, the prosecutor’s office, and experts are on site. They are examining every detail of this case. Unfortunately, as we know, at this very moment, a similar incident may have occurred southeast of this location, on the same railway line, where there was also an attempt to destabilize and destroy railway infrastructure, which could also have led to a train disaster. This case is very active, the investigation is ongoing, but it is indeed beyond doubt that we are dealing with intentional action, an act of sabotage,” we hear on the video.

Rachoń: a humiliation for Polish services

The “statement” of the head of government was also addressed on social media by TV Republika’s program director, Michał Rachoń.

The journalist drew attention to how yesterday – when the first act of sabotage occurred – both the government and its supporting circles behaved.

Today we know that at least one passenger train ran over the blown-up tracks. For more than 24 hours, Donald Tusk did not comment on the matter; his spokespersons mocked the information collected during that time by TV Republika journalists, and now he is recording a TikTok in which he says that “fortunately, there was no tragedy.” – Rachoń wrote.

He further explains: “The facts are that the services supervised by Prime Minister Tusk not only allowed the tracks to be blown up but also allowed, on the same line – several dozen kilometers away – someone to tear down the catenary, install a steel device on the tracks designed to derail trains, and set up a device recording sound and video.”

In his view, “this is a humiliation of Polish services, for which the supervising prime minister is responsible. But it is hardly surprising. A day has only 24 hours, and the heads of the three-letter agencies already have assigned tasks.”

“The same services that missed these acts of sabotage are busy: 1) chasing a fabricated ‘criminal group’ over pots, rural housewives’ wheels, and fire trucks, 2) prosecuting documentary filmmakers and interrogating journalists of an unpopular station (500 people already questioned in the case involving TV Republika journalists!), 3) undermining the security of the head of the National Security Bureau (BBN), 4) rifling through the file of the President of Poland’s verification proceedings, 5) searching for the original signature of the Marshal of the Sejm if he dares not to vote as the supervising Prime Minister would like,” the post continues.

In a similar tone today, Zbigniew Ziobro, former Minister of Justice, currently pursued by the ruling team, wrote: “Tusk, to take revenge on today’s opposition, deliberately weakened Poland’s security. He declared war on the purchase of the Pegasus system.” But more on that in the text below.

Rachoń concludes sharply: “Such inaction is a reason for the government’s resignation, not an excuse to record yet another video.”
