Flooding in southern Poland has disrupted rail services, with trains suspended on 12 local routes, according to PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe. Despite this, major railway lines remain operational. As of Tuesday morning, service was halted on sections including Prudnik – Nowy Świętów, Szklarska Poręba – Piechowice, and more. Additionally, cross-border routes with the Czech Republic, such as Chałupki – Bohumin and Zebrzydowice – Petrowice, are currently impassable.

    Restoration Efforts Underway

PKP PLK states that train services will gradually resume as floodwaters recede and tracks are inspected. Decisions on repairs or speed restrictions will follow these assessments. So far, 14 sections have been cleared, including Jelenia Góra – Rybnica and Piwniczna – Wierchomla. Additional announcements regarding changes in services are being made at stations and stops. By 8:00 a.m., 63 trains had been canceled, and 72 were running on shortened routes. No further incidents were reported due to the weather.
