The corpse of a 30-year-old IT specialist from Kerala in India was found in a flat on Wlodarzewska Street. The suspect is a 40-year-old Polish man who has already heard the murder charge. According to Indian media, he is the victim’s roommate and the owner of the flat.

“A 30-year-old man from Kerala’s Palakkad who worked as an IT department officer at ING Bank in Poland was stabbed to death there at his residence. The man identified as Ibrahim S.,” reported India.com.

It reported that Ibrahim had gone to Poland in search of a job and had been living with a Polish man in Warsaw for the past 10 months.

Indian media, citing friends of the murdered man and their sources at the Indian embassy in Warsaw, reported that contact with the man ceased on 24 January. That was the last time he spoke to his family on the phone. After 24 hours, concerned relatives informed the Indian embassy in Poland.

“Ibrahim’s friends in Poland learned that he was missing, they went to the house where he lived and searched, but the owner of the house did not agree to enter the house,” reports India.com. The services were informed then.

The India.com article ends with a report that Polish police have established that it was the owner of the house who murdered Ibrahim and that he has already been taken into custody.

A spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw confirms that the incident described by Indian media occurred in one of the flats on Wlodarzewska Street. The victim had multiple stab wounds and a 40-year-old Polish man was arrested in the case the very next day.

“He heard a charge of murder. By court decision he was arrested for three months,” informed Skrzyniarz.

She added that activities in the case are ongoing, and an autopsy of the victim’s body has already been scheduled. The case is being handled by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Ochota.
