Frozen “Reset” Investigation Revived. Sakiewicz: They Want to Show That…

The release of the book Reset coincided with a sudden acceleration in the investigation concerning the documentary series of the same name by Michał Rachoń and Sławomir Cenckiewicz. According to Tomasz Sakiewicz, the goal is to create a so-called chilling effect.

As established by Niezalezna.pl, intensive questioning of employees is currently underway at Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) and prosecutors reportedly want to determine how the Resetseries — which portrayed what its authors described as the pro-Russian policy of Donald Tusk’s government — was produced. So far, dozens of people have been questioned. The matter has already been commented on by Reset co-author Michał Rachoń.

The issue was also discussed on TV Republika.

“How could the next decisions look?” host Michał Jelonek asked during Thursday afternoon’s program. The guest commenting on the matter was Tomasz Sakiewicz.

“A great many of these actions are undertaken simply so they can continue,” Sakiewicz said. “Of course, charges can be brought against this or that person, and they can try to find a judge who will issue a ruling in record time (…) But I do not believe that is the main objective. They want to show that you will face problems if you touch issues like these,” the head of Republika added.

The book Reset is available for purchase on Goryla.pl and in the Gazeta Polska store.
