Gazeta Polska Clubs gathered in large numbers at Castle Square. “At every call – the Clubs are the first to respond,”

As always, the Clubs are the first to respond to every call, and it shows. Where there are full buses, there are always the Clubs – said Marzena Gmińska from the Gazeta Polska Club in Słupsk. Club members came in large numbers to today’s demonstration against the migration pact and the Mercosur agreement.

Representatives of Gazeta Polska Clubs from across Poland gathered in large numbers at today’s protest against the EU-Mercosur pact. The rainy weather did not discourage them.

“We came under the slogan ‘in defense of Poland’. As I spoke with people on the bus, the movement was about showing our opposition to everything that’s happening – in the justice system, in society, where people are living worse and poorer lives. When it comes to migrants, that too, but above all, it’s about standing up for our country,” said Marzena Gmińska, chairwoman of the GP Club in Słupsk, in an interview with our reporter.

“As always, at every call, the Clubs are the first to respond, and it shows. Wherever there are full buses, there you’ll find the Clubs,” she added.

Józef Omiotek from the GP Club in Pabianice said that “they came to draw attention to the fact that Poland is being dismantled by our government.”

“They destroyed our economy, now they’re destroying agriculture. In two or three years, we’ll have nothing left. We came to draw attention, to make the other side think about what the government is doing. There are no investments, we’re taking loans – what kind of host does that?” he asked.

Izabela Miłkowska from the GP Club in Oświęcim emphasized that “they simply couldn’t miss this event.

“We must resist Tusk’s government, the migration pact, and the Mercosur agreement. Nothing is going right in this country. More and more people tell me they voted for the Civic Platform (PO), but they’ll never do it again. I think the elections will be held in the spring. The president won’t approve the budget and will dissolve the government,” Miłkowska suggested.
