“I’m here to warn Polish society about how the European Union is trying to steal the will of the people through constant interference in elections,” said George Simion, leader of Romania’s AUR party, vice president of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), and former Romanian presidential candidate, in an interview with Niezalezna.pl.
At CPAC Poland, the stage will host numerous speakers from Europe’s conservative circles. Among them will be George Simion, leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), vice president of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party (ECR), and a member of the Romanian parliament.
In 2025, Simion ran for president of Romania, receiving over 5 million votes in the second round. His political activity focuses on defending traditional values, national identity, and sovereignty.
“I’m here to warn the Polish people about how the European Union is trying to steal the will of the people through ongoing interference in elections. There is significant meddling from France and Germany in the internal affairs of other European countries. I’m also here to share my experience and to express my support for the process of restoring democracy,” Simion told Niezalezna.pl.
He acknowledged that conservatives around the world are united by a common enemy.
“That enemy is woke and trans (LGBT) ideology, which goes against human nature and against God. We must stop focusing on what separates us (as conservatives) and come together for the common good,” emphasized the Romanian politician.
