Germany is seeking to share the burden of its mounting migration crisis. They are exploiting the weakness of the Polish government. Why are these centres being prepared? Not to shirk obligations under the Migration Pact, but to receive migrants—because the fundamental aim of the pact is to ease migration pressures in the West. Everything else is a lie, declared Marcin Przydacz, a Member of Parliament from the Law and Justice Party (PiS), during the television program “Wysokie Napięcie” on TV Republika.
The German Chancellor’s “Secret Plan”
According to Die Welt, the incoming Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, is developing a “secret plan” concerning the deportation of migrants, in coordination with neighbouring countries. The Polish government is reportedly involved in the implementation of this strategy. German media note that the recently adopted legislation in Poland may facilitate the process.
These reports prompted a reaction from President Andrzej Duda, who demanded explanations from the Polish Prime Minister.
“Prime Minister Tusk recently enjoys boasting about border protection—but only the eastern border, which we had fortified earlier despite his protests and attacks from Civic Platform politicians. Now, my written questions concerning the western border and the threat of transferring illegal migrants from Germany to Poland have greatly irritated the Prime Minister. Is it because he is obliged to execute Berlin’s ‘secret plan’ that even German media are writing about?”
the President inquired online.
“The Problem Lies in the Polish Government’s Consent”
The matter was discussed on the program “Wysokie Napięcie” on TV Republika.
“The nature of Germany’s policy is evident. They want to offload their accumulated migration problem. They are taking advantage of the weakness of the Polish government. Let us state this plainly. Migrants are being redirected not based on any genuine circumstances. Imagine a person near the Polish border being given two options: deportation to Africa or the Middle East, unless he claims he passed through Poland—in which case, he will be sent to ‘safe’ Poland. Naturally, the individual will say he came via Poland, and Germany will send him here. The issue is that the Polish government consents to this egregious abuse of procedures,”
assessed MP Marcin Przydacz.
He added that “Poles say they don’t believe the Migration Pact will be implemented, but it has already been passed under Donald Tusk’s government—everyone involved in these matters is well aware of this.”
“Recently, in the Sejm, the Minister of the Interior, Professor Duszczyk, in a moment of candour, openly stated that the pact will come into effect next year. Whatever Donald Tusk says today is only for electoral purposes, to mislead the Polish people—as has always been the case,”
he recalled.
“There Was a Referendum…”
When asked whether Tusk’s government would choose to accept migrants or instead opt to pay fines (estimated at €20,000 per person), Przydacz replied: “In my view, they will begin accepting migrants sooner than they will pay. Let’s also consider the budgetary situation. The purpose of the pact is not merely to impose financial penalties, but to actually manage the migrants. The cost is rather high.”
“Sooner or later, Tusk will announce: ‘We cannot afford to pay so much—we must accept at least a few thousand.’ Why are these centres being prepared? Not to avoid implementing the obligations under the Migration Pact, but to receive migrants—because its core objective is to reduce migration tensions in the West. The rest is falsehood. The notion that Ukrainian migrants will be counted—this is not the issue at hand. In any case, Poland will not decide this—Brussels will. There was an opportunity to block this. A referendum was held alongside the election. What did the Left, Poland 2050, and the PSL do? They refused to take the ballot in order to suppress turnout and invalidate the referendum. Today, the consequence of that shortsighted policy and reckless behaviour is that such regulations as the Migration Pact are entering into force, and Germany is sending migrants across the Oder River into Poland,”
he concluded.
“The Prime Minister Was Clearly Annoyed”
Alvin Gajadhur, an advisor to the President of Poland, reminded the public that President Duda “posed specific questions to the Prime Minister concerning the protection of Poland from illegal migration.”
“One can clearly observe the Prime Minister’s reaction: evasive and half-hostile. He was clearly annoyed. The President asked what concrete actions Prime Minister Tusk had taken to prevent the illegal transport of migrants by German authorities into Polish territory. The President sought to determine what real measures had been taken to counteract this practice. There was also a question regarding what actions the Prime Minister undertook to challenge the detrimental provisions of the Migration Pact,”
he stated.
He further recalled Donald Tusk’s and his party’s conduct in 2021, when a hybrid war emerged along the Polish-Belarusian border.
“At that time, the United Right government effectively defended the Polish border against hybrid aggression from Belarus, as illegal migrants were attempting to cross the border. Back then, Tusk described these migrants as poor people and argued they should be let in. One MP even stated: ‘Let them in first, then we’ll check who they are.’ Now we see a stark shift in Prime Minister Tusk’s rhetoric. It is good that the Prime Minister has finally realized that the views he expressed a few years ago were misguided. The real question, however, is whether the actions he will now undertake will be effective. The President wishes to verify what the Prime Minister has actually done. Are we dealing with hollow promises or merely calls for the President to sign the asylum bill?”
he concluded.
