On June 15, the Imagine This Contest awarded the best film ideas at its gala. Zuzanna Plisz’s “Giantess” clinched the top spot. The event, held at the Old Brewery in Obory Palace Complex, Konstancin-Jeziorna, was hosted by Grażyna Torbicka and Tomasz Kot.
Award Winners and Highlights
Plisz, a Kieślowski Film School graduate and multiple festival laureate, won with her story of a giant woman discovered in frozen PRL Poland. Besides the main prize, she received a scholarship from the Starak Family Foundation.
Second place went to Miłosz Sakowski and Marcin Kubawski for “Like Father, Like Son (and One Reincarnated Grandfather).” Marcin Osiadacz and Marek Hucz’s “They Will Kill Him Soon!” placed third, also earning a Starak Foundation scholarship.
Special Awards and Mentoring
Mirosław Olędzki received the Polish Film Institute Award for “The Ticket.” StoryLab.pro honored Paweł Hercog’s “Amnesia, Death, and a Gunslinger.”
For the first time, the Polish Guild of Producers awarded two Producers of the Year: Jan Kwieciński for “1670” and Marcin Wierzchosławski for “Green Border.”
