This is yet another act of blackmail and a path of confrontation that Włodzimierz Czarzasty is pursuing against President Karol Nawrocki, obviously to the detriment of Poland and its security, Bartosz Kownacki, former deputy minister of national defence, said in a conversation with the Niezalezna.pl portal, commenting on today’s decision by the Speaker of the Sejm that the presidential bill concerning SEJF 0% will not be processed in parliament.
“There are already 17 projects and initiatives of the president in the parliamentary freezer. It is clear that sensitivity to pro-social and security issues has hit rock bottom,” added Senator Wojciech Skurkiewicz of Law and Justice (PiS).
During a press conference before today’s sitting of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty announced that the bill submitted by the president concerning the SEJF 0% program would not be processed.
“We will not process the bill submitted by the president until the process related to the act that has been sent to the president is completed. Why? Because the president must take responsibility for his decisions,” Czarzasty said.
Then, as the Niezalezna.pl portal learned, the Speaker of the Sejm did not allow a discussion about the aforementioned proposal at the Council of Seniors before Wednesday’s sitting.
Czarzasty came to the meeting of the Council. He said – we have motions for information and questions on current matters. He thanked everyone and wanted to close the meeting. I stated that a presidential proposal concerning SAFE had been submitted and that it was an urgent matter. I asked why it was not being put on the agenda. The Speaker replied – in my opinion, it is not urgent. He stood up and left, Law and Justice (PiS) MP Marek Suski, a participant of Wednesday’s Council of Seniors meeting, recounted in a conversation with the Niezalezna.pl portal.
The assumptions of the SEJF 0% solution were presented to Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting at the Presidential Palace.
“Prime Minister Tusk said on Friday that if he receives specifics – and yesterday he received them – he would prepare a bill within a few hours. He does not need to prepare a bill because the president has already prepared it, and yesterday I submitted it on the president’s behalf,” said the head of the Chancellery of the President, Zbigniew Bogucki, on Wednesday morning on Polsat News.
He hoped that the processing of the proposal would begin on March 11, when the Sejm session starts. As it turns out, that will not happen.

“In my opinion, implementing two such projects is unjustified and impossible to carry out. The Polish arms industry will not absorb two projects of this scale within five years. Therefore, if we have an alternative, it is logical that we should choose the project that is less costly for Poland and, in addition, does not limit our sovereignty. That is the presidential SEJF 0% initiative,” he pointed out.
“I understand that Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty makes his decisions in consultation with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. For him, this is the culmination of a career path dating back to the 1980s. Back then he carried out Moscow’s orders. He tried to be its zealous apparatchik, and today he is trying to be a zealous apparatchik of Germany, the main beneficiary of the European SAFE program. That is why he is freezing an independent Polish course,” he added.
The matter was also commented on by Senator Wojciech Skurkiewicz of Law and Justice (PiS), a former deputy minister of national defence.
“Those in power are not interested in implementing the solutions proposed by President Nawrocki, and another example of this is the freezing of the SEJF 0% program. It would be a good, effective program and the most beneficial from the point of view of Poland’s strategic interests,” the politician told the Niezalezna.pl portal.
“Czarzasty is constantly heading for a confrontation with the Presidential Palace. The parliamentary freezer that already contains 17 projects is a fact, and no attempt to deny reality will change that. The worst thing is that many of the proposals submitted by President Nawrocki are pro-social. Yet the social sensitivity of the Polish left represented by Czarzasty, as we can see, has already hit rock bottom,” he added.
“It seemed that these were obvious and rational matters, but as we can see, the Speaker of the Sejm is not giving them a legislative path,” the PiS senator concluded.
“In Europe, liberals and socialists are in power. In Poland, Donald Tusk represents the first group, while Włodzimierz Czarzasty represents the second. These people reflect the political arrangement in Europe. They want to tie us to debt for decades. They would probably also like to introduce the euro in Poland by any possible means. These are people for whom the interests of Poland and Poles are placed lower than the interests of Berlin and Brussels. This is a very sad conclusion. Today we are governed by people who will do everything to please the eurocrats and the elites of Brussels,” he concluded.
