“Today the entire day – instead of talking about healthcare, real security, the Polish army, or international relations, there is nothing but stirring up foam under the cover of classified information solely to attack President Nawrocki, the right side of the political scene, and right wing media – this is the only purpose of today’s sitting and today’s debate,” said Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP), speaking in the Sejm.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk, ahead of the vote on overturning the presidential veto on the cryptocurrency bill, launched an attack on the opposition. His speech was full of insinuations. He spoke about “Russian influence”, “the Russian mafia”, and insisted that “some politicians in Poland, representing the right side and holding very senior offices, know a bit too much about cryptocurrencies”. The topic also served him as a pretext to attack TV Republika.
In the parliamentary debate, the head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP), Zbigniew Bogucki, sharply criticised the head of the government.
“Why is the first veto being voted on today at all? First – when the draft bill was submitted to the Sejm, there was no talk about ‘Russian agents and mafias’. When the first reading took place – this was not raised. When the second reading took place – no one mentioned it either. I followed the committee protocols – there was also no information there suggesting that the bill was meant to counteract this. Then there were votes, then the Senate, and still no information that it concerned matters as serious as the Prime Minister suggested here in the open session”, Bogucki noted.
He admitted that just two days earlier he was hearing information that the Sejm would deal with the veto on the so called chain bill. Then, at lightning speed, a meeting of the finance committee and a classified sitting of the Sejm were convened.
“What is all this for? There is only one goal and you all know it very well – to cover up everything the government of Donald Tusk is failing at. To cover up President Nawrocki’s summit at the Palace and the quickly convened summit by the Prime Minister, to avoid talking about healthcare, which is in a dramatic condition. The healthcare system is in deep collapse in the ICU; you do not want to discuss this, so you throw in substitute topics, and that is the truth. Bogucki also noted Tusk’s absence despite “such an important matter” and “such a serious issue”.
“At this moment the Prime Minister is no longer here, the Minister of Justice is not here, the Minister of the Interior is not here, the security services coordinator is not here. They were so deeply concerned about the security of Poles that they decided to take a rest. More work”, he remarked.
He expressed the opinion that “Tusk already knows he will lose this vote”.
“That is why he is not here, he left you. You will be shouting on his behalf, asking questions, attacking the President and the right side of the political scene, and he knows – that he has already lost”, he told the coalition MPs.
