High Public Interest in #StopPact Campaign, Says Border Defense Movement

The Border Defense Movement boasted of strong interest in the #StopPact initiative. Over the weekend, activists collected signatures for a campaign aimed at stopping the pact that is expected to come into force soon.

“There were so many people willing to sign that at times we could hardly keep up with accepting the signatures. This shows one thing: Poles want to take action and do not accept dangerous ideas that threaten the security of their homeland,”

wrote activists from the Border Defense Movement (ROG).

On Sunday, signatures were collected at the “Olimpia” sports club in Warsaw. The day before, members of the movement could be found, among other places, in Częstochowa, Otwock, Chrzanów, Opalenica, and Wrocław.

Let us recall that the Migration Pact is a set of regulations adopted in 2024 intended to organize the European Union’s asylum and migration policy. In practice, it introduces a mechanism of “mandatory solidarity,” meaning that member states must either accept migrants or pay approximately €20,000 for each person they refuse to admit.
