During a discussion held as part of the 4th International Conference “Between Information and Disinformation” in Tomaszów Lubelski, President Karol Nawrocki explained how Poland should defend itself against the threat posed by Russia.

We must take care of our own security
The President emphasized that his main goal is to do everything possible “to prevent war from breaking out” and pointed out that “the future of Poland is being decided today.” He drew attention to the importance of continued armament, ensuring that the Polish army becomes as modern as possible and that it has the highest deterrence potential. He also stated that it is necessary to build a broad system to counter disinformation, as well as to strengthen Polish identity through “building a sense of responsibility among young people for Poland.“
“The future of Poland is being decided today. One of the main tasks of the president is to conduct diplomatic efforts in such a way that war does not reach Poland. Ensuring that Polish soldiers do not die is the president’s duty in peacetime. We should take care of our security primarily by ourselves,” said the President.
He added that today such duties also include diplomatic engagement with Poland’s allies.
“First, there is us – we are building our military responsibility, but we are also part of international alliances that we must take care of. I am convinced that the recent elections, your votes, and my election have led to a situation in which we have very good relations with our most important ally, the United States,” he stressed.
