Świątek’s recent achievements only underscore her status as one of the world’s elite players. Her bronze medal performance at the Paris Olympics marked a historic milestone, making her the first Polish athlete to win a singles medal in tennis. Following her Olympic success, Świątek advanced to the semifinals in Cincinnati, where she faced a tough defeat against rival Aryna Sabalenka.
Reflecting on her 2023 US Open run, Świątek reached the fourth round before being ousted by Jelena Ostapenko. This year, she aims to go further, with the tournament set to begin on August 26-27. However, her first-round opponent will remain a mystery until the draw is revealed on August 22.
