    Estimated reading time: 1 minute

Poland bid farewell to the IHF Men’s World Championship by winning against Iran in their last match. The white and red team defeated Iran 26:22 in Krakow’s Tauron Arena. Thus, they placed 4th in Group I of the main round.

The white-reds have already said goodbye to their chances of advancing to the next round. After winning against Montenegro, they had to win against Iran to finish the tournament in fourth place in their group.

The first half started very promisingly. After just a quarter of play, the Polish team held a comfortable lead and maintained it until the end.

The second half, on the other hand, looked rather similar. The white-and-reds maintained a lead of several goals and it was clear that they had no problems with the Iranians.

The Polish national handball team defeated Iran 26:22 and finished the struggle in Group I of the main round in 4th place behind France, Spain, and Slovenia, and ahead of Montenegro and Iran.
