A video featuring the fan went viral after the Poland-Saudi Arabia match. When Robert Lewandowski scored a goal for 2:0, one of the fans took off his Arabia jersey, under which he had another, but White and Reds’ jersey with Robert’s surname on it and started cheering for the Poles.
The fan was rewarded by the captain of the Polish national team himself. He created a sensation since under his Saudi Arabia jersey, he had one with Lewandowski’s surname on it. When the captain of the Polish national team hit the net, he instantly adapted to the situation, took off his Saudi Arabia shirt and chanted the Barcelona striker’s name.
The fan became famous in Poland and abroad, and ‘Lewy’ decided to reward him for such a creative action. The fan was invited to the hotel where the Poles are staying, where Robert Lewandowski presented him with his autographed jersey and a dedication.
