“It’s Me. Andrzej Duda”: The President in Kyiv. A Visit He Will Never Forget

President Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv this morning on an unannounced visit, the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland announced on social media. According to the statement, a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planned. It is worth recalling what President Duda’s memorable visit to the Ukrainian capital looked like — one day before the Russian invasion.

“There are many memories and assessments of my presidency circulating in the public sphere. I am adding my own, original evaluation — as lawyers would say: an ‘authentic interpretation.’ I present the path I have taken, from my own perspective. These are my assessments, a description of my motivations, emotions, and the various circumstances that accompanied them. Hence the title – It’s Me. Andrzej Duda,” the president explains.

The book is already available for pre-order, exclusively at the website andrzejduda.pl. A version signed by the author, in a decorative gift box, is also available for purchase. The release date is set for August 6 — the final day of Duda’s presidency.

In his book, the president reveals previously unknown behind-the-scenes details of the most important events in Poland and Europe over the past decade, as well as decisions that influenced the fate of the continent. He writes about the drama of wartime diplomacy and the evolution he has undergone as a person and as a leader. “It’s Me. Andrzej Duda” is a powerful and moving book, rich in details from political circles as well as broader reflections on the nature of politics and the recurring cycles of history.
