    Jan Krzysztof Duda Makes Strong Start in Grand Chess Tour

    Polish representative Jan-Krzysztof Duda, along with Magnus Carlsen and Richard Rapport, shares second place with four points each. The competition awards two points for a victory and one for a draw in the rapid section.


    Indian chess grandmaster Viswanathan Anand has emerged as the front-runner in the ongoing Grand Chess Tour in Zagreb. After three rounds of rapid and blitz chess, Anand holds a solid lead with five points.

    Jan Krzysztof Duda’s Impressive Performance

    Duda, currently ranked 20th in the world, has been showcasing his skills in the tournament. He defeated Russian player Jan Nepomniachtchi and French chess prodigy Alireza Firouzja in the first two rounds but faced a setback in his third match against Romanian Grandmaster Richard Rapport.

    The seasoned 53-year-old former world champion, Viswanathan Anand, regained his form after a draw against Firouzja and a win against Rapport. Anand’s consistent performance propelled him to the top of the leaderboard.
