Kaczyński Responds to Tusk: “The Time Will Come…”

“There’s no point in ruining your Sunday by engaging with the posts of a widely known individual,” wrote Jarosław Kaczyński on X.com. The PiS chairman responded in this manner to a recent post by Donald Tusk, who came to the defense of… Ewa Wrzosek.

Wrzosek as a “Victim”

It’s no secret that the prosecutor’s office recently assigned prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek to lead a new investigation into the “two towers” case. No truly “independent” prosecutor wanted to take on this case, especially since it is highly political.

Recently, Wrzosek has been back in the spotlight due to her interrogation of the late Barbara Skrzypek. During the interrogation, Wrzosek denied the defendant’s lawyer the right to be present, while she herself was supported by two attorneys. Three days after the interrogation, Skrzypek died of a massive heart attack. Moreover, the interrogation protocol was not prepared by a court reporter but by Wrzosek herself.

Tusk Defends the Prosecutor

Given all this, the prosecutor’s office sees no grounds to remove Wrzosek from the case. Its representatives also do not believe that the prosecutor is politically influenced.

Along with the leadership of law enforcement agencies, politicians from the ruling coalition are standing firmly behind the “independent” and “apolitical” prosecutor. Even the leader himself, Donald Tusk, expressed his support today on X.com.

“Commentators who believe that fighting for the independence of the prosecutor’s office disqualifies Ms. Wrzosek as ‘politically engaged’ were remarkably restrained when PiS appointed radically neutral experts as heads of courts, tribunals, banks, media, and prosecutor’s offices,” he wrote.

The PiS Chairman’s Response

Although Donald Tusk received a fitting “response” to his post in the comments section, the leader of the Polish opposition, Jarosław Kaczyński, also reacted.

“There’s no point in ruining your Sunday by engaging with the posts of a widely known individual. The time for justice will come, and the time for punishment will come,” he wrote. This post is gaining increasing popularity among X.com users.
