Polish swimmer Kamil Otowski clinched his second gold medal at the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris. Otowski triumphed in the 50-meter backstroke S1 class event, adding to his earlier victory in the 100-meter distance. His outstanding performance has shone a spotlight on his prowess in the pool, marking him as one of the standout athletes of this year’s Games.
Otowski’s latest achievement contributes to Poland’s growing medal tally at the Paralympics, which now includes five medals: two golds and three bronzes. The other medals were secured by Lech Stoltman in the F55 shot put and the table tennis teams, with Karolina Pęk and Piotr Grudzień earning bronze in the mixed double class XD17 and Pęk pairing with Natalia Partyka to take another bronze in the women’s double WD20.
Looking ahead, the Polish contingent has more potential for success, with Grudzień and Patryk Chojnowski set to compete in the table tennis men’s double MD18 final on Sunday.
