Karol Nawrocki, a civic presidential candidate, emphasized his dedication to fostering a Poland rooted in its civic values. During a meeting with the Civic Committee in Warsaw, Nawrocki declared, “I commit to ensuring that Poland remains Poland.” He highlighted the significance of a strong citizenry in shaping the country’s future, independent of political campaigns and terms.
The Role of Civil Society
Nawrocki underscored the irreplaceable role of civil society in a thriving democracy. He praised the contributions of academics, activists, and social leaders, who integrate communities through shared cultural heritage, language, and historical responsibility. “Citizens build and unite our national community through values that define us as Poles,” he stated.
According to Nawrocki, a creative and vigilant civil society is key to Poland’s ambitious future. He pointed out how grassroots ideas often transcend political pragmatism, inspiring projects like the Central Transport Hub. He also stressed civil society’s “early warning” role in addressing overlooked issues critical to Poland’s progress.
